Colon Cleanse for Weight Loss and Health

Every summer many say it, but many do not follow through. So, now is the time to ask:

What will you do to lose weight, look younger for longer and feel sexier and healthier than you ever have before? What would you do to ensure you stay healthy with less hospital bills and less money spent on pharmaceuticals? Would you take control of your health if you could do all this? You can...

Now is the time to take charge of your health and your life. You can feel healthier, look better, have more energy, more motivation and less stress. But you have to be committed because nothing worthwhile comes easy.

When you take charge of your health, you take charge of your life. You gain more control over your eating habits, your energy, your exercise habits, and your body's aging process. You can do all this because now you know.

You have not been taught this before. As you have now learned, health is not as simple as eating less calories and moving around more. It http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifis knowing how your environment, pollution and chemicals have also affected not only your physical state, but your mental state. And now it is time to do something about it.

I have advocated doing a colon cleanse for years as part of a healthy routine to lose weight. It is more than just going to the bathroom, as many think.

Cleansing helps you get rid of toxins that make it hard to lose weight. Colon cleansing helps your body get rid of accumulated waste that can add 10, 20 or more pounds. (What do you think that excess weight is? It is waste.)

Besides losing weight, a colon cleansing program helps in many other ways. Many toxins are linked to physical disease and even mental and chemical imbalances. Do you think it is just a fluke that nature took millions of years of evolution to perfect us, only to have more than half of us with chemical imbalances?

It is time to be proactive and take charge. Take the steps now to help your body lose weight and do what it needs to do. Please read more, learn more, and try, try, try again. If you start an eating program or exercise program and you falter, just start again. You can do it because practice and persistence pays off.

I hope this pep talk helped at least a little. Please read more at my favorite site about colon cleansing and see if it can help you.

Lose Weight by Eating Clean

Research is finally proving what I and other holistic practitioners have been saying for years - diet sodas and processed foods inhibit your body's ability to lose weight. And eating clean - in other words eating mainly fresh foods in their whole form is best for your body.

This is because highly processed foods are full of sugar, sodium, and bad fats. But that's not all. These foods are also full of chemicals that are used in processing and preserving these foods for shipping across country and long shelf life.

Research has now exposed that these chemicals do not leave the body as once thought. They are stored in fatty tissue and cause health issues that make it even harder to lose weight.

This makes sense... how can you lose weight when your body is literally addicted to fats and sugars? This makes it impossible to stay on a healthy eating program. How can you lose weight when it feels nearly impossible to work out? These sugars, fats and chemicals create fatigue and some even lead to sluggish thyroid as well as sluggish metabolism.

The eating clean philosophy has been in use by health advocates for many, many years. It may not feel easy at first, but a little discipline goes a long way.

Soon after you stop these types of foods, your cravings will diminish. This makes it easier to eat healthy. If you find the first few days early impossible, don't go "cold turkey" off of processed foods. Just incorporate as many healthy foods as you can and start replacing the unhealthier foods. For example, if you like hamburgers - don't eat fast food. Make your own at home with fresh, low-fat beef. Use a whole grain bun, or only half the bun, or better yet, use a lettuce wrap for your bun.

Practice eating healthy and eventually you will get better. As I always have said, try a colon cleanse program to help get these toxins and health-inhibiting substances out of your way.

Many people have found that cleansing their bodies has helped them lose weight naturally. This is only one of the benefits that make this practice popular. Other benefits include more energy to help you work out. And my favorite benefit was that after my first intensive program, my body actually responded to exercise more than I had ever experienced in my life. This kept me motivated and happy as I really saw results for my efforts.

Research more about cleansing and don't let the skeptics scare you. Your health is too important to keep trying the same diets that don't work. Take care of your body and it will take care of you.

Lose Fat This Year

This is the year to lose fat and get fit. I know many of us say this each year - but it is more important now than it ever was. And of course you must be wondering... why?

Science and research has finally proven what we holistic advocates have been saying forever - fat stores dangerous toxins that are harmful to your health. Period. These toxins will slowly kill you and create a myriad of problems on the way.

Pesticides stored in fatty tissue are known to cause depression, fatigue, and endocrine dysfunction. Known chemicals are all around us such as carcinogens that cause cancer while others attack the genetic material in the nucleus of our cells. In the long run, these can set in a sequence of health problems for generations such as birth defects, developmental disorders, and more cancers.

Some toxins are stored in the thyroid tissue, such as perchlorate found in our drinking water. This has been going on for years all around the United States. This toxin leads to sluggish thyroid. It is pretty common knowledge that hypo-thyroidism is pretty common these days causing weight gain, fatigue, mood swings and overall hormonal imbalance. No wonder it is so hard to lose weight!

I'm not posting this to scare anyone; or maybe I am. Many times we have to be "scared into" changing our habits. Some people will wait for the heart attack before they change their eating habits for the better.

So do not wait. Do what you have to do to lose weight, lose fat and get healthy now. This year, I will be aggressively posting more free help tips, programs that I know work and other bits of information to help you. There are mental strategies, ways to overcome cravings, ways to eat and still enjoy your meals. You can do this.

But do something now and take charge of your health before the hospital has to take charge of you.

My Favorite Workout

Exercise can be a pain in the you-know-what for some of us, but a necessary choice for long term weight loss. A gym is fun at first, but after the excitement wears out, it becomes a chore to get ready and go. In fact, most workouts can lose their excitement after a couple days.

The Turbo Jam workout happens to be my favorite to stay motivated. I found a package of 5 workouts that includes a beginner routine of only 16 minutes, a short 20 minute workout that is a little more intensive, and a 40 minutes Cardio and fat burner workout. The 2 others are more muscle building and one is entirely devoted to abs!

The Turbo Jam music, although not something I would listen to every day, is excellent for working out! The whole thing is based around a kick-boxing style of workout that stretches, tones and makes me feel all around powerful. I enjoy the energy of the music, the energy of the workout team on the dvd, and the energy and elevated mood I get every time I do it.

One of the first things I noticed right away was that my balance was much better after about 2 weeks. The tone in my arms improved (noticeably to me) after less than a month. And, unlike other workouts, this ones gets more fun as you continue to do it. As you improve, you can concentrate less on your moves and focus more on the dance-like movements that propels the workout forward. It is fun and goes by fast. And on the days I just do not feel like working out, I put on the one of the shorter ones and keep it low key. The way I see it, at least I've done something.

And remember that no matter what weight loss program you choose, exercise not only keeps your body shapely, but keeps you healthy by stimulating your immunity, strengthening bones, and bringing more oxygen throughout your entire body, giving you a healthy, youthful appearance and makes you feel more energetic!

Disclosure - I do rely on commissions made through products bought through my blog to keep it going. Thank you for your support!

Lose Weight Fast for Summer

Spring is here - already! And summer comes up fast soon after. So, are you one of those people looking to shed some winter fat and lose weight fast? A fast might be the solution you are looking for.

Fasting has been around for thousands of years. Many people do it for spiritual or religious reasons while others want to look and feel better or, of course, to lose weight fast.

In fact fasting is so popular it is becoming one of the more researched practices around. And with stunning results.

Those who fast are found to have lower blood pressure, less bad cholesterol, less food cravings and food issues and a much lower risk for heart disease. And these are people who fast for only one day a month!

However there are many drawbacks of fasting and you have probably heard them all. From hair loss to muscle loss while gaining back more fat than you ever had before, any of these might scare you into thinking this is a myth or only for the crazed.

What if I told you there was a way to fast without the harmful side effects? And, if you could fast to lose weight quickly and safely while keeping all your hair and muscles would you want to try it? I know I did.

There was a time when I knew I could never fast. I would go into hypoglycemic fainting spells if I didn't eat for less than a day, so I never considered fasting for weight loss, health or any other reason.

Then I cleansed. First I did a whole body cleanse. Then I tried a parasite cleanse. Then I did a cleanse to rid my body of what I killed off during a parasite cleanse. Then one day I got brave and tried it for the first time - a real fast.

Guess what? I could do it! I was so proud of myself. After the first day I felt great. By the end of the second day I felt sick. By day three so much garbage came out of my body I thought to myself, "I'm surprised I'm not dead!"

I went on like this until I did a full seven days of my fast. This was the classic fast where you drink the shake with psyllium and bentonite. All your body does is cleanse out old gunk.

I know now the only reason I could fast was because of properly preparing my body. If you do not prepare, you do not get the same results.

During my fast, I lost around seven pounds during that week, which was fast weight loss for me. But that was not the best part.

After I eased out of the fast, my body continued to shed weight at about two pounds per week, without dieting. I continued to lose weight for about the next month. I didn't starve myself nor did I "pig out." I merely ate a balanced diet.

I was able to stay away from junk food like I never have before. I felt so good I didn't want to put that in my body. Not only that, I just didn't have a taste for it.

I remember the first time I ate pizza after that fast. I ate one slice or cheese pizza and was done. I simply wanted no more, and besides, I was full. This was truly a new me (considering in the past I might have eaten four, five or six slices)!

I have kept the weight off and fast here and there to this day. I have worked with hundreds of clients who, just like me, couldn't fast. But I taught them all to do it right.

If you would like to try a fast, be sure to do it right. Here is an excellent ebook about preparing for the Master Cleanse, also known as the lemonade fast. It is called the Master Cleanse Secrets 10 Day Diet. It was created to help people safely prepare for this cleanse and get the most for your money and efforts... well worth it.

If you prefer to try the traditional 7 Day Cleanse that has been around for over 2,000 years, check out my book, The SpringClean Cleanse, the Manual for Detoxification and Cleansing.

I wrote this one to help people learn how to cleanse and fast safely. When you empower yourself with this kind of knowledge, you can take control of your health, your weight and take back your life.

Once again, thank you for reading.

Exercise for Weight Loss

Exercise is an important part of weight loss. But what kind works best?

There are many to choose from, like interval training, circuit training, resistance exercise, and aerobic exercise. Some say lifting weights is the only way while others claim this is too strenuous. Some say aerobic exercise burns more fat but then others claim it does not help in weight loss. Who do we believe?

My opinion is just do what you feel like doing. But do something. No exercise is the quickest way to get out of shape and unhealthy, that's for sure. Regular exercise lowers blood pressure, burns calories, strengthens your heart muscles, increases your ability to breathe deeper (very healthy), and keeps you limber and youthful.

Personally, I like exercise where I feel like I'm exercising. So-called "dance" aerobics do nothing for me. I feel like I'm expending my energy on learning what to do rather than burning calories or getting healthy. Maybe if I tried salsa dancing...

My exercises of choice have been David Kirsch's Sound Mind, Sound Body dvd. (You can find it on Amazon.) I love the sumo squats he uses and exercises such as push-ups which are simple yet extremely effective. The workout is about 45 minutes, but I set my goal at 10 minutes when I first started. It took a while to get up to the whole 45 minutes but it was worth it. It was very difficult, so I took my time and figured something (10 minutes) was better than no minutes.

My new favorite is Turbo Jam by Beach Body. I was shocked at the price, but then found it on Amazon for a lot cheaper (sorry Beach Body but a girl's gotta do). I got the first dvd which consisted of 5 workouts. Two of them are only 20 minutes long which is great for me. If I am told I must exercise 40 minutes to see results my inner rebel will not do it at all. The 20 minutes workouts are great and it's so fun I didn't mind going to the longer workouts. I actually really enjoy this one!

And, here's my plug, I get a lot quicker results from my exercise these days after I go healthy by cleansing. If you haven't seen it yet, here's my personal story about weight, Hep C and body cleansing

Fat Loss Cleanse

I know I go on about body cleansing or detoxing constantly - but we honestly need a new way of thinking. You know, a new solution for fat loss.

Believe me, I've tried the old standard that is supposed to work; eat right for at least six to twelve weeks, exercise, drink lots of water, stay away from anything delicious including salt.

I've done these programs more than once with little success. And I'm not the person that gave up after a few days. I actually did these types of programs and stayed on them. I had love, support and money to buy what I needed. So what happened?

First of all, I have to say that I didn't come out of these without any benefit at all. I did learn some things about myself.

For example, I was shocked at how addicted to salt I had become over the years. When I first tried a diet that completely cut salt for the first two weeks, I became seriously angry as the days went on. I felt like throwing my food out the window! This couldn't be how we were meant to live, could it?

During this time I shrunk. But after a few weeks felt so out-of-control that I had to stop this program. Not only was I angry, but there seemed to be so much work involved to make food that I didn't even look forward to eating. I purposely stopped that diet out of rebellion.

I also learned that I loved to exercise. I love aerobics, lifting weights, running, rebounding, and kick-boxing. But they didn't do anything to help me lose weight. What kind of freak was I?

So I eventually began to believe I was destined to be a "big girl," as many had called me, which was weird considering I had tiny bones the size of a bird. But, at the same time, I must be a "big girl" because even when I exercised every day and followed my diet religiously with the help of my husband, I still could not lose the excess 35 plus pounds that had crept up on me.

Then I got sick. I had contracted Hepatitis C. The doctors wanted me to get sicker before they put me in the hospital. But I wanted to get well, so I tried the body cleansing and detoxification that friends had told me about.

Much to my surprise, not only did I feel better but I lost weight! What a nice side-effect, I thought. And to sweeten the pot, not only did I lose weight during my body cleanse, but it kept falling off over the next few weeks as I started going into a maintenance or health eating mode.

After I got healthy and more educated I eventually went from student to therapist to health center owner. I worked with hundreds of people, men and women, who had similar experiences. These people came in for various reasons and were surprised when excess weight came off, seemingly unexpectedly! Many of them asked me why. Why did the weight come off during a cleanse, yet never did with so many "diets" or weight loss or fat loss programs in the past? Why now?

I'm not sure for them. It could be that because of health issues they became more serious about the eating regimen. It could be that they were more focused on their health they didn't realize they were doing things, such as changing their diet, that would naturally cause their bodies to lose weight.

But I believe there is more to it, judging from my own experience. I believe that eating in a way that helps the body cleanse is different than dieting. Cutting out all spices, foods, dressings, sauces... and salt... to help you lose weight is not natural. Our bodies seem to prefer a slower, more gradual, more natural change. I mean, we didn't come out of the womb ordering cheeseburgers.

A fat loss cleanse diet should have allowances at first. Body cleansing is a natural process because your body has organs designed to detoxify and cleanse. The cleansing process will start when you alter your present diet.

A fat loss cleanse can help your body move out wastes that actually cause your cravings in the first place. This makes the eating regimen more tolerable as the program goes on.

A fat loss cleanse should incorporate herbs, and other foods that help your body cleanse, detoxify and adjust to getting waste out. Excess waste, as I've said in other posts, may be a storage house for environmental toxins that can do things like disrupt thyroid function. Moving toxins out may help your body balance once again to alleviate symptoms that may have stemmed from a thyroid that is not functioning properly.

The bottom line is that I believe many of us don't have to be destined to be "big." I believe that losing weight is hard, but I don't think it's because we lack willpower. I believe our bodies and minds need more help than a simple change in diet. And I think that help comes in the form of herbs, bodywork and knowledge.

I wrote the SpringClean Intensive to compete with another fat loss book on the market that I think falls short for the price. So I priced mine at about half of theirs but put in a lot more informative and professional information. I believe a body detox is an important missing link in weight loss and fat loss.
